The reason I tell you this is because of a some what funny experience I had with a pen pal. It is still kind of funny to this day. I was writing to this lady and we had been writing for sometime (months) things seemed to be going really well. She even became a real friend to me in my heart. UNTIL! Now get this, all that time writing each other, she was thinking I was a white man. When I told her that I was black she told me in her next and last letter to me, that because of my last name being Bright that she was thinking I was white. I could not stop laughing at that one. For that was a first. Thinking I was white because my last name was Bright. That’s a good one. (Laugh)
Now that the laughing has stopped, I am sad and hurt as well as somewhat disappointed in her reasoning for stopping to write me. Well I guess I gave up on a pen pal service for some time. Because of the pain of loneness. Once more I am looking for a real pen pal friend, not just a pen pal, because pen pals come and go. That can bring more pain to ones heart.
I am looking for someone that really wants to help and or be a real friend to someone like me. Someone that does things from the heart, because they want to. Someone that will be real with me.
